Advocacy and partnership to help refugees back into work

© WeWork

UNHCR’s relationship with WeWork goes back to 2017, when their global WeWork Refugee Initiative was launched.

The Refugee Initiative aims to bring together companies and refugees in a collective effort to expand opportunities and build a brighter future for all. WeWork is committed to supporting and creating economic opportunities for refugees by partnering with local organisations that are pivotal in improving the life of refugees in their communities.

WeWork sponsors public awareness activities and collaborates with UK for UNHCR on engagement events to support private sector advocacy, World Refugee Day and UNHCR’s social enterprise brand, MADE51, which helps refugee artisans access global markets to sell their crafts.

WeWork is also a proud member of the UNHCR #WithRefugees Coalition.
