Moments ago, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, has called for civilians and civilian infrastructure to be protected, and reiterated that UNHCR stands ready to support those who are forced to flee their homes.UNHCR is immediately stepping up its operations and capacity across Ukraine, as well as in neighbouring countries. We will continue to keep you informed of developments on the ground – learn more about UNHCR in Ukraine.UNHCR is also working closely with governments of neighbouring countries, calling on them to keep their borders open to those seeking safety and protection.
