One community.

Born connected.

Strengthened by Zakat.

Endorsed by scholars, UNHCR’s Refugee Zakat Fund operates a 100% donation policy. Ensuring 100% of what you give, goes directly to displaced families in need. Zero fees. Zero deductions. Zero interest.

Millions of refugees are observing the month of Ramadan far from home, many living in poverty, struggling to make ends meet.

You can send support, connection and compassion to those in need, with your Zakat, using our simple Zakat calculator.

We have broken down our Zakat calculator into assets you may own, like gold, silver, cash, pension etc, and any personal or business debts you may have so you can calculate the Zakat you owe easily.

The amount of Zakat calculated will be determined once you have the total value of your net assets over the last lunar year. You then need to see whether your net assets are equal to, or exceed, the Nisab threshold.

What is Nisab

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam that requires Muslims, at or above a certain wealth threshold, to donate a portion of that wealth, typically 2.5%, to those who are eligible.

What is the Nisab threshold?

This Zakat calculator follows the Nisab value set at a rate equivalent to 87.48 grams of gold and 612.36 grams of silver.
